The concerns of employees at the MGEN medical center in Sainte-Feyre, near Guéret (Creuse), have not subsided. THE 340 employees of the establishment are called to strike this Tuesday, November 5 from 1 to 3 p.m. in front of the main reception. The inter-union is mobilizing while discussions are underway at the national level until mid-December to determine the conditions for resuming the medical center.
This establishment belongs to the MGEN group but it will pass into the hands of the VYV mutual union, like the 34 other MGEN medical centers in France. This change makes employees fear a loss of benefits. “I benefit from CESU checks, this helps me finance the care of my children at the daycare center”indicates Maryline. This nurse in the pulmonology and oncology departments of the Sainte-Feyre center is also the mother of two children. “Cadoc’ checks help me buy back-to-school clothes. It’s a plus that isn’t on the pay slip but helps us get by every year.”
Loss of attractiveness?
These nudges are arguments at the time of recruitment says Bruno Dalby, CFDT delegate in the establishment. “When someone arrives on the job market, what do they do? They look at the working conditions and the pay that goes with it. If we are no longer able to offer equivalent pay with the correct working conditions, the person will look elsewhere If we cannot find a nurse, caregiver or doctors, it means that the service is no longer able to maintain an opening. a service, everyone will be impacted.”
For its part, management wants to reassure employees. “There will be possibilities for career mobility and training plans. Today, a health establishment must be attractive, we would have no interest in no longer being so”supports Laurent Talarico, the director of the MGEN medical center in Sainte-Feyre.
L’Creuse establishment will change hands from January 1, 2026six months after the start of the transition between MGEN and the VYV group.
