This June 9, the day of the European elections, the BIJ (Youth Information Bureau) is organizing its third edition of the wardrobe clearance.

The second-hand clothing market is on the rise, not only for making substantial savings, but also for the environmental impact, it is a more respectful method of purchasing for the planet, because the clothing industry fashion is the second most polluting on the planet.

This is now of interest to all generations, from mothers to young, trendy people, but also to all walks of life because it is possible to obtain clothing from all brands and ranges at attractive prices.

Anaëlle Le Thi Nghiem, head of the BIJ, assisted by Elsa Astié-Dumas, (in civic service), worked hard to organize this empty dressing room, unique in the region.

“Usually it is often garage sales, or flea markets that are organized, there it will only be clothes that will be put on sale, and only to individuals, the success was immediate, we even had to refuse registrations”, welcomes Anaëlle Le Thi Nghiem.

It is important to note that this closet clearance is completely free, both for exhibitors and visitors.

“The fact that this empty dressing room takes place on the same day as the European elections is not problematic, I would even say that it is a good thing, because 3 of the 4 polling stations will be grouped together in the Charles de Cacqueray multipurpose room, so voters will be able to come and stroll after having fulfilled their electoral duty”, concludes the head of the Youth Information Office.

The closet clearance will be held in front of the Charles-de-Cacqueray multipurpose room, this Sunday, June 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Information on 05 53 01 47 98.
