Travel across Île-de-France to listen, inform and raise awareness of women's rights. This is the mission entrusted by the network of eight information centers on the rights of women and families (CIDFF) to the Van Info Femmes, which arrives this Monday on the roads of Essonne.
From November 4 to 15, this converted vehicle will travel through twelve municipalities in the department. The first stage will take place this Monday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Maurice-Eliot high school in Épinay-sous-Sénart, and the last on Friday, November 15, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Jean-Monnet space in Étréchy.
“Through an approach ofgo-towards, the objective is to reach the most remote women, in particular those in rural areas and priority neighborhoods of the city (QPV)”, indicates on her LinkedIn account Alice Carpentier, departmental delegate for women's rights and equality at the Essonne prefecture and support for the project.
From Arpajon to Palaiseau, via Grigny, Angerville, or even Fleury-Mérogis, the converted vehicle will operate in places as varied as markets, youth information points or universities.
Designed as a free, anonymous and drop-in listening space with professionals, the Van Info Femmes aims in particular to raise awareness of the fight against sexist and sexual violence, gender equality, or to discuss professional integration. Its aim is also to raise awareness of the CIDFF, and to direct staff who wish to do so towards these Ile-de-France schemes, one of which is located in Évry-Courcouronnes.
According to Alice Carpentier's post, the Mouvement du nid association, also a partner in the project, “will address prostitution risks, particularly targeting young people, whether minors or adults, as well as professionals”.
