Eliminated in the French Cup by Avranches (1-0) last weekend, the US Villers footballers conceded a draw on Saturday evening against a team from Feignies, a little more energetic, a little more determined by moments, but frankly awkward in front of Gaëtan Boisroux's cage.
Souleymane Diarra (60') aimed his shot well but the Norman goalkeeper lay down and diverted the ball. This attempt will ultimately be the only real opportunity for the visitors. The Villersois, twice, could have snatched the decision but a mix-up in front of the goal (40') was not exploited and Teddy Gaudiche's shot (85'), lacking speed, was stopped by Tommy Plumain, not unfortunate on this matter.
“Learn to win”
“Our evening opponent was sharper in the first period” recognized Mohamed Tazamoucht, the Villers coach, “but we were able to resist and be effective in defense. The important thing was not to lose and not to concede a goal. We are currently relegated. But I feel a team making progress”.
Progress that should be translated into number of points, Mohamed Tazamoucht: “We are lacking accuracy with still a lack of offensive organization. Still, my team is starting to understand what I'm asking of them. Now he must learn to win.”.
