After briefly participating in the season 13 of Top Chef, Thibaut Spiwack has made a meteoric rise in the world of Parisian gastronomy. To the point of becoming consulting chef for the cult series Emily in Paris on the last two seasons (which are perhaps not worth watching only for the quality of the plates which can be seen passing by). And until November 29he invites you to his restaurant Anon, to taste this menu straight out of the world of the most Parisian of Americans.
A 2-star menu
It's not uncommon to salivate while watching Emily in Paris. This is often due to the beauty of the performers (in the absence of their playing qualities). But most often, it still comes down to the gluttony that emerges from the plates we see passing by. And it must be said that if Gabriel spends the series chase its Michelin star somehow, Thibaut Spiwack, his, a already reached this Grail. And, icing on the cake, it even has a green starwhich rewards the most committed cooks.
Until the end of the monththe leader who fought alongside Louise Bourrat in Hélène Darroze's brigade offers us an ephemeral lunch menu, to enjoy the most beautiful creations of chef Gabriel. For the occasion, he imagined a 4-step menu, at €65 per personin which he resumes with quite astonishing attention to detail 3 emblematic dishes of the series. And for dessert, the icing on the cake — or on the hat, your choice — its pastry chef Pierre Boré imagined a dessert in the shape of Emily's famous red beret.
Plates as pretty as Emily's outfits
With this meal like no other, the chef – who in addition to being a culinary consultant, also used as hand lining on certain scenes — hope so revisit « with creativity and elegance the French art of living »as indicated on the restaurant's Instagram account. And we must say that, just in photos, it's quite successfulsince the plates, with their beautiful colors and their refined design, make our mouths water.
During the meal, you can therefore enjoy to begin with a roasted brioche, shellfish and marinièr ice creame. The meal continues with flower tart, light Brillat-Savarin cream, green tomato confit (and honestly, it is, by far, what we want most). We continue with the perpetual mushroom, black truffle cream, pepper condiment. And finally, the touch emily composed of vanilla cream, apple confit, salted butter caramel and hazelnut shortbread. Yes yes !
