Surrounded by a few members, Annie Mauduit, president of the association Friends of the Sainte-Marie chapel in Tinchebray (Orne)hosted the general assembly of Tuesday October 22, 2024. During the European Heritage Days at the end of September, the chapel received 200 visitors over the weekend.

Some people attached to the place, as well as parishioners, are saddened to see that the chapel is often portes closes the rest of the year. To bring the place back to life, Annie Mauduit presented some projects under discussion.

Exhibitions, visits, evenings… Ideas for the chapel

Concerts, expositions (Lego® life size with the Normand'Briks association or old postcards from Tinchebray for example), presentation of arts and craftsguided tours, times of prayer, praise vigils, marital mass, opening of churches for the night at the end of June…

So many activities mentioned, with possible participation ofeducational establishments to exhibit works. To publicize these meetings, a Facebook page is being prepared.

Annie and the members are still looking for volunteers additional. A new meeting is planned for Thursday, December 5, 8:30 p.m. in the Ekklesia room. This meeting open to all will help advance the expected revival of the association. With her, a precious element heritage should come back to life.
