Garonne – A closing ceremony for the SNU cohesion stay

For 10 days, 110 young volunteers aged 15 to 17, from diverse backgrounds, were able to discover the values ​​of the Republic and the culture of commitment during a cohesion stay in Auzeville-Tolosane.

In Haute-Garonne, in Auzeville-Tolosane, 110 young volunteers aged 15 to 17 completed a cohesion stay as part of the Universal National Service (SNU). For ten days, these young people, from varied backgrounds, were able to discover the values ​​of the French Republic, as well as the importance of commitment and solidarity.

The closing event, which brought together the young participants, their supervisors and representatives of the State, was marked by satisfaction, emotion and pride. The young people, who had chosen to participate voluntarily in the SNU, expressed their gratitude for this experience rich in sharing, discoveries and learning of civic values. This highlight was an opportunity for everyone to look back on the notable activities of the stay and the skills developed, while strengthening their spirit of cohesion.

The prefect of Haute-Garonne praised the young people for their commitment in these terms:

“By enrolling at the SNU, you wanted to participate in the construction of a society of commitment, built around national cohesion. I know that your involvement was complete, and your attention sustained throughout this stay, and I wanted to congratulate you.”

During these ten days, volunteers were able to exchange and cooperate during various activities, addressing crucial themes such as citizenship, knowledge of institutions, civic engagement, and solidarity. They also explored essential topics such as the preservation of historical memory, first aid, culture, respect for the environment, as well as tolerance and respect for differences. The young people were able to meet members of the public services, discovering up close the State professions based on dedication and collective spirit.

Beyond learning, this cohesion stay was a unique opportunity for these young people to get closer to the culture of civic engagement and to become aware of the importance of active citizenship. By becoming ambassadors of republican values, they are called to play an active role in tomorrow's society.

The closing ceremony of the SNU in Auzeville-Tolosane will thus remain a symbolic moment of cohesion, sharing and hope in a youth ready to build a more united and united society.
