The Cosmic Elevator arrives on Tuesday, November 5 at the Poix-de-Picardie village hall.
1 A story for young and old
When the artist Monsieur Lune and his friend Sébastien Rost create a show, they start with the scenario.
“The Cosmic Elevator came to us during Covid. We first imagine the story like the scenario of a film, then he creates the drawings and I the songs. We then find singers for each character.”
explains Monsieur Lune
In the Cosmic Elevator, the council of planets gives a very bad rating to Earth, usually saved by art. This must therefore disappear.
But agent Mila, sent to destroy our planet, crosses paths with two children, Anatole and Tiago, who now hold the fate of the Earth in their hands.
“The whole issue is whether the Earth will be saved. The three children must combine their skills and put aside their differences to save us.”

Enough to keep young and old in suspense, especially since the authors have integrated generational references from the 80s and 90s throughout the illustrations and in the text, which parents will not fail to notice.
2 Music and cartoon on stage
“It’s a real live show of sound and light on stage, with a cartoon in the background. A live show where everything is actually performed, not just a computer soundtrack.”
underlines Monsieur Lune
In fact, five musicians and two technicians will take the stage. Monsieur Lune on guitar, Gaël Derdeyn on violin and keyboard, Fred Monaco on drums, Alice Rabes on keyboard, and Cheveu with guitar and bass, to perform the eleven songs of the show. François Morel, Gérald Genty, Oldelaf, Pi Ja Ma and Voyou also give their voices to the characters.
3 Tolerance and ecology in the background
The Cosmic Elevator initially criticizes the use made of the Earth by humans, and their abuses in different fields, including ecology.
“The question of awareness and the ecological emergency is raised in the subtext of the story, without making it inevitable, but rather a common challenge to be taken up together.”

Additionally, this show is “an invitation to tolerance, to acceptance of others“, since it is only by combining their forces, without worrying about their differences, that the heroes have a chance of saving the Earth. “When we write we think first of the story, the themes come later, because these are current issues that we are confronted with“, confides Monsieur Lune.
