The ramparts of Langres will not lack bite!

SPORTS. The All Saints' Day weekend will be sporting in Langres, with three events concentrated at the foot of the ramparts, at the Champ-des-Sœurs: a canicross, the Trail de la Crémaillère and the Cyclo-cross des Remparts.

Langres will be more alive than ever for this weekend of Saturday November 2 and Sunday November 3. The weekend promises to be sporty at the Champ-des-Sœurs car park. Launched solo in 2019, the Cyclo-cross des remparts has continued to expand, with the Trail de la Crémaillère then with a new event: a canicross organized by the new Cani'HautMarnais association.

The events will begin on Saturday, November 2 in the morning, with the first canicross in the history of Langres. A canicross is a speed running race, carried out jointly by a dog and its master, connected by a shock-absorbing lanyard. Place will then be made for the Trail de La Crémaillère, still supported by the Langres Athletic-club Sud-Haute- (Lacshm 52). Racing will begin at 4 p.m. A new feature is then proposed immediately: a discovery trail, not timed, for families who wish it.

The elite race will start at 5 p.m., with a kick-off given by the Arquebusiers. Like every year, it will be partially nocturnal and will be run by torchlight. Runners must bring their head or belly lamp, which will be mandatory for the main race.

The now traditional cyclo-cross of the ramparts will be held on Sunday November 3, throughout the day, organized by the Langres Vélo-club (VCL). Runners of all categories will set off to attack the ramparts, from 10 a.m.: pupils, juniors, cadets, juniors, hopefuls and masters.

The elite race is scheduled for 3 p.m. and will last one hour. Several new features, aimed at making the journey more difficult, have been thought of for this new edition which promises to be spectacular. Many registrants are expected for the elite race.

  • The Remparts cyclo-cross is an event very popular with participants.
