The Marne Cinematographic Meetings return for a 12the edition, these Friday November 22 and Saturday November 23. An important event in the cultural landscape of southwest Marne, with this year the screening of ten short films over two evenings.
This cinematographic event, first organized in Thoult-Trosnay, is now offered in the communes of Connantre on Friday evening and Boissy-le-Repos the next day. Two villages which offer larger rooms and thus make it possible to accommodate an increasing number of audiences. This year, the organization of the Meetings has been entrusted to the brand new association “Friends of Cinematographic Meetings 51”, created last June and of which Jacky Biville, from Thoult-Trosnay, is president. As for director Wilfried Méance, he will not fail to attend the two Connantrate and Boissyfontaine sessions, he who has actively participated and hosted the meetings since their beginnings.
Firmine Richard will be the godmother of this 12e edition
“This year, we even have an actress as godmother. This is Firmine Richard, 36 years of career. She has appeared in numerous short and feature films. “8 women” by François Ozon, “The first star” by Lucien Jean-Baptiste, “Romuald and Juliet” by Coline Serreau”, to name just a few. This will be an opportunity for her to encourage all young talents. “She will be present in Boissy on Saturday evening,” specifies the president of the association.
Before adding: “We will watch ten short films, five in each town, made by ten young directors. They will be on site themselves or professional film actors will come to represent the films at each evening. After discussions around the works and professions of cinema, an aperitif dinner will be offered to the public to continue the conviviality. Spectators will therefore be able to have fun by encountering diverse works and talents thanks to our free cultural offer in rural areas. »
