It was unanimously that the municipal councilors of Vallorbe agreed, Monday evening, to reduce the tax rate from 71.5% (since 2022) to 70% for the years 2025 and 2026, reports “L'Omnibus”. The Municipality considers this reduction “bearable” and wishes to counterbalance the increase in revenue resulting from the revision of taxes and tariffs on the evacuation and purification of water, as well as its distribution.

The Financial and Management Commissions had repeatedly requested that the Executive propose a tax reduction. COFIN describes the operation as “prudent”, given the uncertainties linked to the new equalization. The loss of revenue for the municipality should be 150,000 francs.
