Action taken as Halloween approaches.
As the Halloween festivities approach, the prefect of Lot prohibits the use of fireworks and pyrotechnic articles, the transport of take-away fuel and the consumption of alcohol on public roads from October 31 at 5 p.m. to 4 November at 8 a.m.
With the approach of the festivities linked to Halloween and due to the risks of disturbance to public order which may arise due to inappropriate behavior on public roads, the prefect of Lot has issued a ban order.
The following are prohibited throughout the territory of the Lot department from Thursday October 31, 2024, 5 p.m. to Monday November 4, 2024, 8 a.m.:
– the carrying, transport and use of firecrackers, fireworks and pyrotechnic articles on public roads with the exception of adults holding the F4-T2 level 1 or 2 qualification certificate;
– the possession, transport, distribution and purchase of take-away fuel in cans or other transportable containers without legitimate reason;
– the consumption of alcoholic beverages on public roads, excluding duly authorized events.
Any violation of this order will be recorded in a report and prosecuted in accordance with the laws and regulations in force.
The safety and protection of all are the priority of state services. The prefect of Lot calls on everyone to show responsibility by respecting these measures taken for this purpose.
