This is wonderful news for cycling fans in the region! The 2025 Tour de France route has just been revealed and it will make its comeback in Hauts-de-France this summer. Several stages will take place in the region and runners participating in the Grande Boucle will pass through Pas-de-Calais in particular. Is your municipality affected? ? We take stock!
Three stages in the North – Pas-de-Calais
The first stage will take place on Saturday July 5, 2025, the start will be given from the metropolis of Lille. A 185 km loop is planned, cyclists will cross Pas-de-Calais and the following towns: Carvin, Courrières, Harnes, Loison-sous-Lens, Lens, Liévin, Angres, Souchez, Aix-Noulette, Bouvigny-Boyeffles, Hersin-Coupigny, Sains-en-Gohelle, Noeux-les-Mines, Béthune, Essars, Locon and Lestrem.
The second stage will take place the next day, Sunday July 6, and will connect Lauwin-Planque to Boulogne-sur-Mer. A route of more than 200 km awaits runners through Douaisis, Artois, Ternois and the Côte d'Opale.
Here are the municipalities concerned: Athies, Arras, Mont-Saint-Eloi, Cambligneul, Frévillers, Béthonsart, Monchy-Breton, Saint-Pol-sur-Ternoise, Fleury, Auchy-lès-Hesdin, Lebiez, Embry, Maninghem, Hucqueliers, Beutin , Etaples, Hardelot, Samer and Saint-Etienne-au-Mont.
The third and final stage organized in Nord – Pas-de-Calais will take place on Monday July 7 from Valenciennes to Dunkirk (172 km). The first part of the route will cross the Mining Basin: Aire-sur-la-Lys, Isbergues, Lillers, Chocques, Beuvry, Béthune, Cambrin, Douvrin and Billy-Berclau will be crossed by the runners of the Grande Boucle.
