Jacques Monvoisin, a 36-year-old resident of Morisel, is still going strong this year for Halloween. Among the numerous decorations put up on Saturday October 26 (with around thirty characters, corpses, skeletons, monsters and spiders combined) on the facade of the house of horror located at 2, rue de l'Église, something new: a skeleton 3 m high. There are also coffins, carved pumpkins, spider webs, etc. Many elements were created by him.

Transformed into a terrifying “mythological, evil and cannibal creature”

Jacques Monvoisin will meet the public in front of his home this Thursday, October 31, in the evening: from 6 p.m. he will take on the appearance of a terrifying wendigo, “ a mythological, evil and cannibalistic creature ».

“I dedicate this 2024 edition of Halloween to my late mother”

The person concerned confides: “ Last year, I wasn't able to put up the Halloween decorations because I accompanied my mom in her last battle. The village children were sad that I couldn't do it. I dedicate this 2024 edition of Halloween to my late mother. ».

The Samarian will distribute, like every year, on Halloween evening, candy to children (190 packets of candy are planned in total): this annual event represents for him “ a great investment “. He also thanks the municipality of Morisel who gave him bags of sweets to support him in this event which is a great success each time: “ People come from far away, even from -Pas-de-. I didn't expect when I started putting up Halloween decorations that it would get this big. It touches me a lot. »

Jacques Monvoisin slips again: “ I want to continue to give Halloween magic, to help people forget everyday life, and I want to help bring the village to life. »
