Emmy will represent Morbihan in the competition for the best apprentice in France

She dreams of a coronation national in the “aesthetic” category. Silver medalist in the competition for the best apprentice in Morbihan then gold medalist at the Breton level, Emmy Béret, from Plumelec, will represent the department and the region in the national competition for the best workers and apprentices in France which will be held in Lyon this Saturday, June 8.

The level rises

Crowned with these two distinctions, Emmy still navigates between dream and reality: “It was a voluntary step on my part. My Marie-Lefranc public high school in Lorient did not impose anything on us. It was a free initiative that led me and three of my high school classmates to appear at the highest level of this competition. » The young high school student, currently in first BAC pro Aesthetic prepared well for this trip to the Rhône: “We made several workouts with our teachers. The higher the level of the competitions, the more complicated the tests become. For the departmental competition it was necessary to do facial and hand treatments accompanied by a beauty makeover; for the regional level, the theme of the Olympic Games was declined with a makeup artistic of an arm, the face with a pattern and nail work with semi-permanent pose. » says Emmy.

Two events on the program

For the national competition for the best apprentice in Aesthetics, Emmy Béret had to prepare a two-stage test. “At first I was a little stressed. Then with the training, I now feel reassured and more confident! I must especially avoid fatigue from the standing and leaning position because my model will be seated. While we are trained on a high model! » she admits.

The first test will take place on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with the installation of a nail salon semi-permanent, an ordeal she has already faced. But the second test, scheduled from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., will require more creativity since it will involve performing makeup on a model artistic of the bust, of an arm between shoulder and elbow, and of the face. “For this, a high school friend from my class will serve as my model. »

Of the 60 national candidates, all regions will be represented by four winners from the regional selections. THE Lorient high school thus provides four high school girls, each accompanied by their model. This trip for eight will leave Lorient station this Friday June 7 towards Lyon via Rennes.

Projects after the baccalaureate

Emmy Béret is part of this youth full of enthusiasm and motivation. This competition is a step on the road to the baccalaureate. Two tests during training, mathematics and physics, await him upon his return from Lyon. And then in 2025 the final year will complete their secondary education. But already, the future seems all planned out for this young woman who qualifies as “Mens sana in corpore sano”, a healthy mind in a healthy body! “I see two options which can be combined, namely a BTS management work-study coupled with a professional qualification certificate in nail prosthesis. » reveals Emmy. This synergy positive will undoubtedly open up multiple horizons for him.

Of the ambitions clearly stated and validated alongside her by her mother Anne: “Emmy is a serious, motivated person who has skills and a sense of communication,” she rejoices.
