The circular arrived a few days ago in homes in Birmensdorf (ZH): information on the “optimal supervision” pilot project. Embellished with the school logo, the document bears a second enigmatic cryptogram: “Companion”, a trademark registered in early 2023 by a Zurich start-up of the same name wishing to offer “optimal and safe support for children by supervisory staff “.
State-of-the-art chaperoning organized within the framework of “day care”, which offers several options for out-of-school care before, between and after classes, and which involves a “Bluetooth bracelet indicating in which room of the daycare or in which “where on the school grounds the child is located.” Objective? Optimize canteen service, improve punctuality and children’s safety, but also “simplify the establishment’s daily life”. A proposal that arouses more than just enthusiasm – to put it mildly.
