Concerned by the vote on the 2025 budget, the Force Ouvrière Santé union asks Aude deputies “to clarify their position” regarding the social security financing bill

This Tuesday, October 29, the trade union organization Force Ouvrière Santé de l'Aude decided to send a letter to the three deputies of the department so that they clarify their position on the social security financing bill for 2025 which is examined since Monday.

It is with great concern that the trade unionists from Force Ouvrière Santé de l'Aude are approaching this press conference. Since Monday, October 28, deputies have been called to debate the social security financing bill (PLFSS). A controversial project, in the 2025 budget, which is causing a stir in the health sector, particularly for access to care. “We want to know the position of the three deputies of the department, so we sent them a letter. Hoping that they will go in our direction, that is to say not to support this project”underlines the departmental secretary of FO health, Yannick Bonnafous. And to add: “We will carefully monitor what they are going to do because our situation is critical.”

In this letter, the union asks parliamentarians to ensure “the natural evolution of resources, to ensure their renewal, allow for training needs, the recruitment of health professionals and the necessary investments”. Before the bill is voted on, representatives of FO santé also wish to have a meeting with the deputies. “Four years ago, during the health crisis, we were heroes but today it is over. Despite Ségur de la santé, there are many professionals who do not want to stay. When we reduce staff, we can no longer work in good conditions today, we can't do it anymore.”concludes Yannick Bonnafous.

A strike notice was also given from November 4 to December 21.
