Espaly won 2-0 on the Mozac pitch this Sunday, during the 6th round of the French Football Cup. Logic respected between regional Puydômois (R2) and Espaviots residents of National (N3).
Mozac had pulled out all the stops. The entry of the players to the sound of the Coupe de France anthem had the gift of making the 22 players dream, and the approximately 500 supporters present that afternoon, at the Edmond-Vacant complex.
Elhammiri cooled the premises from the start with a well-adjusted cross header, following an offering from Uzun (0-1, 7th). Mozac, a low block, was subject to Altiligarian attacks. The tactical repositioning of Jérémy Gomichon's men (20th) allowed them, among other things, to stand out and obtain a few counterattacks, without success.

While Espaly paced the game, the Puydômois tried to resist and concluded the first act with a score which gave them some hope (0-1).

However, sporting reality took over in the second half. Espaly's saving speed offered numerous possibilities to the visitors. Against such teams, the slightest mistake is paid for in cash. And when Ichane was responsible for taking a free kick at the entrance to the penalty area, he helplessly cleared Charton's top corner in order to seal the score (0-2, 58th).
“The players gave everything, we were at our maximum,” the Moza coach proudly expressed.
For Espaly, the objective will be to break the glass ceiling which prevents them from reaching the 8th round of the competition. “We now want to mark the history of the club,” announces with ambition the coach, Lionel Vaillant.
