“To complete the journey through the legendary French, Puy du Fou will present in 2025 a new creation inspired by the universe of the knights of the Round Table, entitled “ the Sword of Roi Arthur ».
This new show features one of the forgotten knights of Arthurian legend who, through the sword of King Arthur, was linked to the lineage of Puy du Fou.
From a duration of 25 minutes, the spectacle « The Sword of Roi Arthur » sera plays until 8 times par jour on a scène of 3000 meters squares, in front 2000 spectators.

Puy du Fou Vendée. Nicolas de Villiers announces a gigantic Treasure Hunt with an Exkalibur sword worth €250,000 at stake

Puy du Fou has just announced, on Friday October 25, 2024, the launch of a gigantic Treasure Hunt which was developed by two French people, great specialists of the genre: « Unsolved Hunts ».
Nicolas de Villiers indicated to Reporter sandlais that the game would be launched in the spring (Editor's note: it is now set for May 22, 2025). Adding:
« They invented an inviolable method for thousands of hunters and springs making it possible to build puzzles capable of withstanding thousands of “adventurer hunters” and the extraordinary powers of artificial intelligence.«
Without having particularly followed the concept of Chouette d’Or whose treasure has just been discovered, the Treasure Hunt of Puy du Fou follows the same kinds of precepts but drawing inspiration from the world of Knights of the Round Table.
This treasure is a golden sword – named afterExcalibur – garnished with precious stones (including a 6.23 carat red spinel placed in the pommel), sword worth €250,000 which will be the winner's prize.
But this unique sword (weighing 3.4 kg and 124 cm high) could well be worth much more when it is discovered…
It was forged by the Puy du Fou with blacksmiths and jewelers of excellence.
The blade was forged and shaped in an artisanal manner by Atelier Thibaud using the techniques used in the Middle Ages!
Riddles
The “adventurers” will have to solve 12 calligraphic riddles, associated with 12 illuminations and a treasure map, in order to reach a chest buried in a secret place!
Nicolas de Villiers remains in the unknown about the duration of this hunt: “ the treasure can be discovered in 2 years, 20 years or 100 years“, declared Nicolas.
Players can solve the puzzles from home; travel is not required to complete this quest. No technical skills are necessary to solve these puzzles, which are accessible to the general public as well as seasoned hunters.
It is during a ceremony called « Confidence » which took place at Puy du Fou that Nicolas de Villiers revealed this surprise.
