The van that helps women break the silence

Since July 2024, the Solidarité femmes 49 association has been traveling through the countryside of Maine-et-Loire to break the silence on domestic violence and help women in danger.

It is both an information center and an intervention tool, ready to quickly pick up isolated victims. “We intervene within 48 to 72 hours as soon as a woman calls our emergency number”says Lucie Bernier, member of the association. Solidarité femmes 49 can be reached from Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. (except Tuesday morning) on ​​02 41 87 97 22.

A Doctobus with interns from University Hospital

To help patients who struggle to find a general practitioner, has decided to launch a Doctobus, which will travel through the medical deserts of the region. The launch was planned for the start of the school year in September.

On board the bus, interns from the Angers University Hospital will receive patients, under the supervision of a doctor who is an internship supervisor. The objective is not to provide emergency consultations, but rather to offer follow-up to those who no longer have access, or have difficulty, to a GP, to treat long-term pathologies.

A bus converted into a gym

The atmosphere is friendly and intimate. Since March 2022, the health sport bus of a sports club, the Entente des Mauges, has stopped in villages in Mauges (Maine-et-Loire), to develop the practice of health sport.

The sessions are offered on prescription to people with limited abilities, suffering from chronic pathologies or long-term conditions. This former city bus, which was transformed at a total cost of €100,000, welcomes more and more members every year. The cost of the subscription varies between €50 and €60 depending on the duration.

An appointment with an ophthalmologist… on the corner of your street

Since November 2021, you can consult an ophthalmologist in a small truck. Launched by the Maine-et-Loire Territorial Hospital Group (GHT), it offers mobile teleconsultations in the department, traveling to a different commune every day of the week.

Patients are cared for by an orthoptist in the vehicle when the ophthalmologist carries out the consultation from the Angers University Hospital.

A truck presents the equipment for aging well

During a forum for seniors, organized at the end of September in Saint-Florent-le-Vieil, at the initiative of the Mauges-sur-Loire services, a traveling demonstration truck, the Soliha truck, presented the equipment “which make life easier in a kitchen, shower or toilet”according to one of those responsible for the activity.
