The events took place in the middle of the night. As BFMTV learned this Monday, October 21 from a source close to the matter, a man was shot in the back last night in Saint-Egrève, in the metropolis of Grenoble, in the department of Isère.
The individual was shot in the back while parking his scooter on his property. He died as a result of his injuries and the suspect was not identified; he fled before help arrived.
The investigation was entrusted to the Grenoble research section as well as the Meylan research brigade.
No link with drug trafficking
“The number of impacts remains to be determined by the autopsy (1 or 2, Editor’s note). No link has been made with a drug case for the moment and the victim had no known involvement in this area” , underlined the deputy prosecutor, François Touret de Coucy.
Since the start of the year, around twenty episodes of gun violence linked to drug trafficking have been recorded in the Grenoble metropolitan area, with the authorities no longer hesitating to speak of “gang war” .
