The RN-LR deputy for the 5th constituency of Gard, Alexandre Allegret-Pilot, filed a complaint after receiving food at a fair, Sunday October 20.
MP Alexandre Allegret-Pilot, elected RN-LR for the 5th constituency of Gard, filed a complaint after being targeted by food projectiles on Sunday October 20 during a trip. The politician, who went to the Cévennes Apple and Sweet Onion Fair, was attacked by around forty people and had flour and onions thrown into his face. While several people greeted him with pots and pans, the MP was also insulted. “A small far-left group wanted to prevent me from visiting the fair. I was threatened verbally and physically. Individuals chanted that I did not belong in Vigan”explained Alexandre Allegret-Pilot to France Bleu Gard Lozère.
“It seems extremely serious to me.”
The deputy was extracted following the intervention of the gendarmes and a man was arrested and placed in police custody. “When we claim to be left-wing and oppose fundamental freedoms, that seems extremely serious to me”he assured. “With each elected official attacked or intimidated, the vital prognosis of France is at stake.”wrote the MP on X, formerly Twitter, while sharing the video of his attack.
On X, Sylvie Josserand, RN deputy for the 6th constituency of Gard, denounced “unacceptable actions against an elected representative of the Republic call for the strongest disapproval. I express my solidarity and I provide my support to my parliamentary colleague”. Yoann Gilet, Nicolas Meizonnet, Pierre Meurin, deputies from Gard, who all belong to the National Rally, also gave their support to their colleague.
