Day 1 * France / Meeting
Flight to Reunion. Meals and night on board.
Day 2 * Saint Denis / Sainte Suzanne / Salazie
Arrival and reception at Roland Garros airport. Picking up your vehicle from the car rental agency. Go to the east of the island and venture into the surprising setting of the lava tunnels of Sainte-Suzanne. At the end of the day, check-in at your hotel located in the Salazie cirque where you can access numerous walking and hiking trails. Night at the hotel.
Day 3 * Salazie / Plaine des Cafres
In the morning, departure for the east coast towards St Benoît to discover the green coast of the island: La Rivière des Roches, La Paix basin, La Mer, the Takamaka viewpoint.
Continue towards La Plaine des Palmistes and discover the magnificent colored wood forests of Bébour and Bélouve. Return to the coast; en route, stop at the church of Sainte Anne. Continue towards the Plaine des Cafres. Night at the hotel.

Days 4 and 5 * Plaine des Cafres / St Philippe
Climb towards the Volcano road with the crossing of the Plaine des Cafres, then La Plaine des Sables: surprising discovery of a lunar landscape also born from the collapse of the second volcano. Stop at the Nez de Bœuf viewpoint which overlooks the upper valley of the Rivière des Remparts then drive towards the Piton de la Fournaise site.
Stop at the Commerson crater and discovery of the Dolomieu crater at “Pas de Bellecombe”. You can take the guided tour. Visit to Bourg Murat of the Maison du Volcano, stop at the Grand Bassin Belvedere. This site will surprise you with its unreal nature.
Road to Saint-Philippe to visit the splendid garden of perfumes and spices. This private garden tells you the history of spices, fruits, flowers, vanilla, and takes you to the heart of exotic botany and Creole practices. A surprising educational visit in a good mood.

Day 6 * Saint Philippe / Cilaos
You will go down the coast to reach Saint-Pierre, the southern sub-prefecture. On arrival at Cilaos, you will discover a plateau surrounded by precipices and topped by the highest peaks of the island, a village where life is good, steeped in traditions such as vines, lentils and embroidery.
Days 7 and 8 * Cilaos / Entre-Deux / Saint Gilles
Breakfast at the hotel. When you wake up, you will be able to admire the Piton des Neiges and the open mountains of the Cilaos cirque, a cirque listed as UNESCO Heritage. From Roche Merveilleuse, you will overlook the village of Cilaos, renowned for its thermal baths with beneficial waters, its wine and its vineyards, its embroidery and lentil cultivation.
Return to the west coast via the magnificent village of Entre-Deux. On the road, stop at the Etang-Salé chasm and the black sand beaches.
Before arriving in Saint Leu, you can make a stop at Trou du Souffleur and its geysers. Once in Saint Leu, you can visit the Stella Matutina Museum, the sea turtle study center, Kélonia and the Mascarins Botanical Conservatory. Then, head towards St Gilles les Hauts towards Piton Maïdo: unforgettable viewpoint over the Mafate cirque!
