WHAT IS THE CAREER OPPORTUNITY?

Training development advisor

Full-time temporary position to be filled immediately

Under the responsibility of the Manager, Organizational Development, you will ensure, in collaboration with the teams of the Chamber and a major partner, the design and implementation of training programs in partnership with educational establishments. teaching partners as part of an innovative project to improve skills.

More specifically, your main responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Establish solid partnerships with educational establishments (training centers, CEGEPs and universities) for the development of short-term training courses that meet the needs of employers;
  • Carry out studies and needs analyzes to ensure the design of short-term training and skills assessment tools;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to clearly define learning objectives and develop learning strategies;
  • Develop specifications based on employers’ skills needs;
  • Provide an advisory role to project teams in the choice of educational strategies necessary to achieve the objectives of training projects;
  • Analyze learning solutions and propose recommendations to ensure that they are adapted to the identified needs;
  • Supervise the design of training programs and ensure the alignment of the content developed with the needs identified by the community;
  • Collaborate closely with educational establishments to ensure the quality and relevance of training;
  • Facilitate communication between trainers, participants and other team members;
  • Ensure the monitoring of training under his responsibility;
  • Design training measurement and evaluation methods and make the necessary improvements and updates;
  • Develop short-term training certification standards and parameters;
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs using key performance indicators;
  • Establish close relationships with counterparts of the major partner to carry out the mandate.

REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree in teaching, didactics or any other relevant field;
  • 5 years of experience in a position related to the function (all other combinations could be considered);
  • Knowledge of best practices in training and skills development;
  • Good command of computer tools and instructional design software;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Skills in training needs analysis and program evaluation;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams;
  • Excellent organizational skills and good priority management in a multitasking context;
  • Good ability to develop and maintain interpersonal relationships.
