Three beaches in Calvados retain their Blue Flag and the port of Deauville is also labeled

This Thursday, May 23, the 2024 Blue Flag winners will be officially revealed in full. With something new, not on the beach side but on the port side, in Calvados: the port of Deauville joins the ranks of labeled sites.

The Blue Flag, “first international sustainable tourism label for beaches and marinas developed by the Teragir association”will unveil its 2024 prize list, this Thursday, May 23, during a ceremony organized in Pornichet.

Beaches and ports

As in 2023, three Calvados beaches obtain the Blue Flag label, rewarding “a development policy that respects the environment and people”indicates Teragir in a press release for this 2024 season: this is again Colleville-Montgomery (Colleville beach), Honfleur (Butin beach) and Pont-l’Évêque lake.

In the “ports” category, the Blue Flag of Dives-Cabourg-Houlgate is renewed. A new addition joins the certified ones, and there are only six new ones on a national scale, for 106 distinguished marinas: this is that of Deauville.
