The end of a long procedure. This Thursday, October 17, 2024, the administrative court ordered a dismissal of the case in favor of Anne Hidalgo, in the face of the three associations (the Parisian Union, Rouler libre and the Comité Marais Paris) which demanded expense and catering reports of the mayor of Paris for the year 2020, relates Le Figaro.

The decision “deemed” disappointing by the associations’ lawyer

In its decision, justice explains that Anne Hidalgo will not have to provide the requested documents. A “decision considered disappointing”by Me Patrick Tabet, the lawyer for the three associations.

This procedure began in 2020 when the significant debt of Paris town hall was revealed. To find out how the money was invested, the associations had requested catering and representation expenses from the mayor of Paris, which she refused for a long time before providing the documents in September… 2023.

But at that moment, the lawyer believed that documents were missing and decided to take the mayor of Paris since 2014 to court. According to our colleagues, Me Patrick Tabet wanted certain trips and the names of the guests at Anne Hidalgo’s lunch are made public.

After a first victory in the Council of State, the associations were therefore rejected this Thursday. The administrative court considers that there is “no legislative or regulatory provision” to require an administration to provide its documents. On the other hand, they obtained that the town hall pays them 1,000 euros for having provided the parts too late. Faced with this judgment, Me Patrick Tabet “does not rule out the possibility of seizing the
Council of State. »
