Palestinian flags briefly flew on the roof of the Central Station: “An investigation is underway”

Palestinian flags briefly flew from the roof of Central Station this week. It turns out that a break-in took place and they were hung without any authorization.

The SNCB’s X account was flooded this Friday with messages reporting, with supporting photos, Palestinian flags hanging… on the roof of the Central Station.”An explanation please?“, “Why does a station take sides in a conflict?“, we can read on the social network. Some even believe in editing: “I don’t believe it, at this point it’s impossible without a reaction, it’s definitely a fake” one person wrote.

The photo is very real, confirms SNCB, which took the time to respond to all the messages. It turns out that these flags were hung without any authorization: “Hello, SNCB regrets and condemns the intrusion which took place on the roofs of Brussels Central station. The flags which had been placed there, without authorization, were removed as soon as the facts were noted. An investigation is underway“.
