The department is placed on orange alert for flooding, Météo- announces, Saturday October 19, in its latest bulletin. Puy-de-Dôme, Landes and Pyrénées-Atlantiques are no longer affected by the alert.

“The tidal coefficients reached their maximum on Friday (112) and remained high on Saturday (111 morning, 108 in the afternoon), leading to overflows on the sections under vigilance”specifies Vigicrues. In detail, “Significant overflows are expected on the Garonne-Dordogne confluence in the Bordeaux sector for the tide on Saturday evening. In , overflows will remain low to moderate”adds the organization.
