It’s an event marked on many Finistère calendars. New high tides will occur from Wednesday October 16 to Sunday October 20, 2024 on the coasts of the department. The coefficients will be as follows: 101, Wednesday; 110, Thursday; 112, Friday; 111, Saturday; and 103, Sunday.

Despite the bad weather forecast – floods, rain-flooding, waves-submersion… Finistère is placed on yellow alert for the coming days – many fishermen on foot are expected on the coast. In this sense, the Finistère prefecture launched, this Wednesday, a call “for the greatest vigilance” and reiterated some precautionary advice.

However, in the department, several coves, portions of rivers and other beaches or bays are prohibited, discouraged, tolerated or authorized for fishing on foot.

Find, in detail, via the map above, the sites identified by the Regional Health Agency (ARS) and the French Research Institute for the Exploitation of the Sea (Ifremer) as of Wednesday October 16, 2024. In case of doubt about the health status of a site, the Finistère prefecture invites residents to contact the town hall concerned.
