Haute-: a new resource center opens in Bas-en-Basset
Haute-Loire: a new resource center opens in Bas-en-Basset

An opportunity to clear out your attic or garage! The resource center managed by the “Coup de Pouce à l’Emploi” association opens Wednesday October 16 in Bas-en-Basset. It employs 14 people in professional integration.

This is a first for the association.”Boost for Employment”. The project for a resource center, discussed since December 2017, is finally seeing the light of day this Wednesday October 16.

The goal: to restore second hand items from donations, to then resell them at a low price. An opportunity to get some good deals and get rid of items that are no longer needed!

In its 350m2 store, the resource center will sell furniture, clothing, books, CDs, decorations, etc.

All items sold come from donations. The resource center experienced “a big craze” according to the president of “Coup de Pouce à l’Emploi” Frédéric Roux, with more than “23 tons” of donations (including “17 tons of furniture“) within two months.

A way to integrate through employment

Fourteen people in professional integration will be responsible for running the resource center, out of the twenty that help each year “Boost for Employment”.

A real “added value to employment integration work” of the association, according to Frédéric Roux. The resource center makes it possible to offer several professions, ranging from the sale to the restoration of objects donated by individuals.

1,500m2 of premises

The association has built, thanks to various local, national and European aid, premises of 1,500m2 in the Pâtural activity zone in Bass-en-Basset. They include the shop, but also offices, restoration workshops and hangars to store future items for sale.

The depot and resource store will be open Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m..
