Initial Arbitration Training: A productive weekend in Soustons.
Last weekend, from October 11 to 13, 2024, the Isle Verte sports center in Soustons hosted an initial refereeing training session, led by Quentin LANET and Claude CHEVALIER.
Twelve participants had the opportunity to deepen their theoretical and practical knowledge of arbitration.
On the program, varied theoretical lessons, including the study of cards, different fouls and offside rules, as well as a mock exam to test their knowledge. On the field, the apprentices put their learning into practice through whistle blowing exercises, gestures, conflict management and even the use of the touchline flag.
Each participant received a refereeing kit including a whistle, boxes, a water bottle, a jersey and a refereeing booklet, all in an “all referees” bag, thus providing them with all the necessary tools to begin their refereeing journey. ‘arbitrator.
The next stage of this training will take place on Sunday October 27, with administrative training followed by their refereeing exam. This event constitutes a key milestone for future referees, thus strengthening the quality of refereeing in our district.
