So, according to Weather Languedocthe first “low intensity rains” are announced in Aude and western Hérault, from the afternoon of October 16.

This episode will last more than 48 hours and the highest rainfall intensities will occur at the end of the episode, accentuating the dynamism of the floods.

Forecasters specify that these bad weather should intensify and affect Gard very quickly, the same day.

For its part, Météo France confirms that heavy to thundery rain will sweep across the entire Gard department during the day of Wednesday October 16 and could continue the next day.

Significant accumulations are also expected on the interior plains of Eastern Hérault (north of Montpellier, Pic Saint-Loup, Val de Londres, middle/upper basin of the Hérault river) but also Gard. We can have 50 to 80 mm in 48 hours, locally 100 mm getting closer to the reliefs.

The Weather Channel does not see any improvement before the end of the week. Showers are forecast for Friday October 18 but they should be of lower intensity than in the middle of the week.
