By 2030, the Châteaubriant-Derval community of communes (-Atlantique) should plant 44,000 trees in the region.

The objective is to “contribute to the capture of carbon dioxide (CO2), the creation of islands of freshness, the flood control and production renewable energy”, informs the community of municipalities.

We have been engaged in the ecological and energy transition for many years alongside agricultural and industrial economic players.

The intercommunality provides financial assistance to municipalities wishing to

participate in the tree planting which contribute to the capture of carbon dioxide (CO₂), the creation of islands of freshness, the fight against flooding and the production of renewable energies.

In this context, a financial aid to municipalities in the amount of €1 per

resident with a ceiling corresponding to the amount of work was set by the Châteaubriant-Derval community of communes.
