Meet the strong demand for student accommodation in (). This is the objective of the companies Fac-Habitat and Axentia who have joined forces and signed a lease agreement for the construction of a student residence in the heart of the Indes district.

Planned at the corner of 1/15, avenue Jean-Jaurès and 50, avenue Maurice-Berteaux, it will be composed of 150 housing units.

The student residence will be strategically located: close to all amenities (stores, pharmacy, etc.) as well as the RER A allowing you to reach in less than 15 minutes.

“Sartrouville already has a few campuses. But, the city is above all located on an axis giving access to major universities in Paris: , La Défense… »

Lionel Lerissel, president of Fac-Habitat

The accommodation will also be located directly opposite the Dispensary Park and the banks of the Seine.

As a reminder, this announcement is part of the urban renewal program for the entire Des Indes district. In total, 358 new housing units should be built between 2025 and 2030.

A student request

In Sartrouville, 18% of residents belong to the age group 15-30 ansaccording to the latest figures from INSEE in 2021. The town hall has therefore made student rental demand one of its priorities for the future.

The city center appeared to be the ideal location. “We’re not really fans of the idea of the lost student in the middle of nowhere, which must take 1 hour 30 minutes. It’s the best way to depress them,” adds Lionel Lerissel.

T1 accommodation and a gym

T1 housing, approved and giving access to personalized housing assistance (APL), will range from 18 to 35.25 m². Eight will be accessible to people with reduced mobility. A laundry, a gym, a common space/coworking room as well as a two-wheeled space will also be an integral part of the residence.

To hope to qualify for one of these accommodations, you must be a student and under 30 years old. “There is also a income limit», specifies Lionel Lerissel.

Rents will also be agreed. They will correspond to the rents of social homes, namely approximately €400 per month .

A delivery for the start of the 2027 school year

For the manager, Fac-Habitant, this is a major project. “It will be necessary to count between 3 500 m²and 4,000 m² of surface area, approximately,” says Lionel Lerissel, president of Fac-Habitant.

There is no established budget yet but an announced delivery date: summer 2027. “Roughly speaking, we will count 18 months of work. It can be more depending on the subsoil, this is often the most delicate part,” he concludes.
