Cheese made in Hauts-de-France definitely leaves a bitter taste. After the recent massive recall of several cheeses made in Hauts-de-France, due to listeria, the Rappel Conso site publishes an alert for Maroilles.
Four references are concerned, sold in Match, Auchan and Carrefour supermarkets. These cheeses are recalled due to the possible presence of metallic foreign bodies.
In detail, this concerns:
- The Quarter of Maroilles (200 g) from the “Patrimoine gourmand” brand, sold at Match in Hauts-de-France and Ile de France between October 10 and 11, with a minimum durability date set at December 15 2024. The GTIN code for this product is 3257980977175 (lot 260D24).
- The Quart Maroilles in paper (200 g) manufactured in Thiérache (unbranded) and sold by Carrefour in Hauts-de-France on October 11. Its minimum durability date is December 15, 2024. The GTIN is 3276310000024 (lot 260D24).
- The Quart de Maroilles (200 g) from the Lesire brand, sold by Carrefour in Hauts-de-France on October 11, with a minimum durability date set at December 15, 2024. The GTIN code is 3276311010114 (lot 260D24).
- Maroilles Sorbais Lesire (550g) sold from October 11 to 14 in Auchan Hauts-de-France, with a maximum durability date set at December 31, 2024. The GTIN of this product is 13276310000144 (lot 256B24).
Rappel Conso specifies that these cheeses could contain a “ metallic foreign body “. They therefore present a “ risk of injury/adverse effects following ingestion of this product.
Do not consume
It is therefore “recommended to people who have products belonging to the batches described not to consume them ».
Consumers who own these cheeses are invited to return the products to the point of sale. They will be reimbursed.
The recall procedure runs from October 25 to December 15 depending on the references.
