A first since more than twenty years. The king of BelgiumPhilippe, accompanied by the queen, Mathilde, perform a state visit in , this Monday 14, Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 October 2024. Parking prohibited around the Arc de Triomphe

Traffic will be particularly complicated around the Arc de Triomphe, located at the junction of the 8th, 16th and 17th arrondissement. The lifting of the parking ban will come into force on Monday at 12 p.m.

During the reception ceremony, a security device will be implemented with excavations. No demonstrations will be authorized. And “the carrying, transport and use of entertainment, pyrotechnic articles, firearms, and ammunition, as well as any objects likely to constitute a weapon” will be prohibited between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m.

Underground, the George V metro station (line 1) will be closed. Several exits from the station Charles de Gaulle-Etoile (RER A, lines 1, 2 and 6) will also be inaccessible during the ceremony. The situation will return to normal from the beginning of the afternoon.
