Anderlecht have already received a lot of criticism this season. This is logical, because he has not yet raised his level of play compared to last season. But Sporting is still well placed, both in Belgium and in Europe. Filip Joos believes that things are rather positive for Anderlecht, as he told 90 Minutes.
Joos sees good core at Anderlecht
In football, it’s white or black, very good or very bad. Nuance is often lacking, as is deeper analysis. The same goes for Anderlecht. Jesper Fredberg is the subject of numerous criticisms, but these are only partially justified.
The core he built in just under two years is entirely acceptable by Belgian standards. Joos believes Anderlecht can still play an important role this season. “If everyone is in good shape, what there is is not bad,” he declared on the show 90 Minutes. The commentator is not wrong.
A solid team according to Belgian criteria
If Anderlecht has a new form, David Hubert can align a very solid team with Colin Coosemans, Ludwig Augustinsson, Jan Vertonghen, Jan-Carlo Simic, Killian Sardella, Leander Dendoncker, Mario Stroeykens, Yari Verschaeren, Thorgan Hazard, Kasper Dolberg et Samuel Edozie/Anders Dreyer.
With players like Thomas Foket, Mats Rits, Theo Leoni, Anders Dreyer or Samuel Edozie, Francis Amuzu, Luis Vazquez & co, the bench is quite solid. With this hardware, RSCA should still be in the top three and be an underdog to prevent Club Brugge from winning the title.
Bruges have more quality but certainly not the other Belgian clubs.
