The Pas-de-Calais firefighters intervened this Friday morning at Noyelles-sous-Lens after a road accident. Around 9:30 a.m., two women were knocked down at a pedestrian crossing. They were quickly taken care of by emergency services.
The septuagenarian seriously injured
The events took place at the corner of Rue de Noyelles and Rue du Général Leclerc. Around ten firefighters from the Lens and Harnes barracks arrived on site to “ a traffic accident involving a light vehicle and two pedestrians“, details the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (Sdis).
The driver hit the two victims at a pedestrian crossing. A 73-year-old woman is seriously injured and was transported to the Lens hospital center for medical treatment. The second, aged 81, is slightly injured. She was transferred unmedically to the same hospital. The police and the Smur were on the scene.
