The calm after the storm? In the north-east of Seine-et-, department still on red alert (with Eure-et-Loir), the situation remains complicated and last night was still trying for many residents forced to leave their homes. It is true that the historic flood thresholds of 2016 (3.42 m) were reached or even exceeded on the Grand Morin.

Thus, in Couilly-Pont-aux-Dames, near Crécy-la-Chapelle, the situation was expected to stabilize in the morning and improve at the start of the afternoon with the recession. In Condé-Sainte-Libiaire (near the confluence with the Marne), the flood peak was expected around noon. In La Ferté-sous-Jouarre, the flood has passed, in , it is announced, while in Chalifert, the peak is expected around 7 p.m.

180 people evacuated to Crécy-la-Chapelle

Yesterday evening, in Crécy-la-Chapelle, the town hall offered its residents affected or deprived of electricity/heating in the town center to spend the night in the municipal gymnasium. 180 people were evacuated as a precaution.

The Departmental Fire and Rescue Service of Seine-et-Marne (Sdis 77) continues its pumping and cleaning operations. The Seine-et-Marnais firefighters were also joined by several colleagues from Val-d’Oise and . As for the Departmental operational center (COD), managed from the Seine-et-Marne prefecture, it continues to manage this major crisis.

Regarding the main roads, the results were as follows this morning, at 8:30 a.m.: 53 roads closed and 87 in difficult traffic. A map can be viewed on the Department website.

1,000 homes without electricity

As for rail, the problems were concentrated on line P between Coulommiers and . Following a landslide in Trilport, the La Ferté-Million-Meaux and Meaux-Château-Thierry sections were interrupted in both directions. Substitute shuttles have been put in place. Finally, 1,000 homes were still without electricity this morning.

Today, after a cloudy morning, some nice clear spells are expected in the afternoon. Light showers are forecast for Saturday October 12, but according to Météo , their volume should not impact the decline.
