The facts date back to October 5 in (Oise). In the middle of the afternoon, a motorist was hit by an oncoming vehicle and himself hit a parked car.

As logic requires in these cases, he then calls the police to make a report and secure the area. When they arrived, the police asked him for his license, but the individual in question did not have it. Since then, on August 20, he has had it withdrawn. Caught in the act of driving without a license, he finds himself in immediate court. To make matters worse, the police noticed that the young man had just smoked cannabis.

Three months in prison

The accused is awaiting the adjustment of two sentences, of six and three months. The prosecutor is asking for eight months in prison, suspended on probation with an obligation to provide care, work and pay the sums owed to the public treasury.

The accused’s lawyer explains that the acknowledgment of receipt of the letter signifying the license suspension is missing. The defendant was acquitted of driving without a driving license but received three months in prison, suspended on probation, with an obligation to receive addiction treatment, work, and pay the sums owed to the public treasury. His driving license was suspended for six months and he received a cumulative nine months in prison.
