Limoilou en musique has unveiled the summer programming for its 15th edition, scheduled for June 7 to 9 on 3rd Avenue. The NPO also launched the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge for cancer research and in solidarity with its general director Jean-François Girard in his fight against the disease.

At the start of the evening, Limoilou en Vrac unveiled the program for the 15th edition of Limoilou en musique.

Like every year, the event will take place in parallel with the Grand Bazar du Vieux-Limoilou and the Artisan Market. The latter is also presented by Limoilou en Vrac.

Limoilou en musique is presented by Desjardins and in collaboration with several partners.

These three concert evenings from June 7 to 9 are free.

Some details about the programming

Friday June 7 from 7 p.m., Sensei H will launch the festivities where hip-pop will be in the spotlight.

“We will continue the evening with the performance of Modelthen
welcome the prolific indigenous rapper Samian », We can read in the Limoilou en Vrac press release.

These artists will perform on the main Desjardins stage, located on 3rd Avenue.

The evening of Saturday June 8 will be dedicated to punk and rock fans.

From 7 p.m., the punk group Traps will perform. At 8 p.m., it will be the group’s turn Wild children. Then, the rock opera The Hostesses of Hilaire will occupy the stage.

On Sunday June 9, Duo Bonobo will perform his songs. Finally, Naughty Penguin closed the 15th edition of Limoilou en musique.

In addition to the main stage, two other stages will be installed, including an outdoor stage in front of the Bar Spectacle Le Quartier de Lune and another at the Nano Cinco craft brewery.

A variety of artists will perform there, such as trumpeter Claude Berger, Fleur de Peau, the MIM DJ set and Zepha, among others.

A Shaved Head Challenge, in solidarity with the general director of Limoilou en Vrac

During the unveiling of the program, Limoilou en musique launched the Shaved Head Challenge to benefit Leucan and cancer research.

For Limoilou en Vrac, it is a way of supporting their general director Jean-François Girard in his fight against the disease.

“The board of directors of Limoilou en VRAC announces that its general director, well-known in the neighborhood, Jean-François Girard, is currently on sick leave to treat cancer,” indicates the organization on its website.

Thus, the NPO wishes to encourage the population to show solidarity during the event for the benefit of this important cause.

For her part, MP Julie Vignola wanted to provide her support by shaving her hair.

By shaving her hair, Julie Vignola, the MP for Beauport-Limoilou, took part in the Leucan challenge, organized by Limoilou en Vrac for cancer research. For her, it is also a form of commitment to this cause and in solidarity with Jean-François Girard, the general director of Limoilou en Vrac currently fighting against illness.
