Garage sales, fireworks… This village in Orne celebrates the Ascension for 3 days

The Three Days of Bellou-en-Houlme (Orne) will be led, once again, by the committee of holidays from the community. They will be the scene of several events during the Ascension weekend, these Thursday 9Saturday 11 and Sunday May 12, 2024. Here is the program, day by day.

Thursday May 9: galoshing competition

Galoshe competition. The 43^e contest of galosh [jeu avec un petit palet n.d.l.r.] will take place on Thursday, May 9, from 1:30 p.m.

Saturday May 11: concert and fireworks

• Gut. Before the cycling racea tripe lunch will be served in the restaurants.
• Cycling race. Organized by Flers Cyclisme 61, categories D1-D2-D3-D4 will compete in the cycle race.
• Concert. The music group Pomello will present a free pop-rock concert and outside in the village. First part at 8:30 p.m. and second part at 11 p.m.

• Fireworks. Between the two parts of the concert, a fireworks will be drawn at the pond at 10:30 p.m. The refreshment bar and catering will be provided by the festival committee from 8 p.m.

Sunday May 12: competition, meal and flea market

• Garage sales. From 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., 24^egarage sales will be installed in the municipality. €1 per meter for exhibitors. Reservations on 02 33 64 97 75 or 06 17 41 73 30.
• Country meal. From 12 p.m., a country meal will be served under marquees, with ham in forest sauce, fries, kir, starter, AOP cheese, Ménil galette, and coffee. Adults: €17, children under 12: €8. Registration on 06 21 16 26 66.

• Agricultural competition. At 2 p.m., the 74th departmental agricultural competition will take place, with an exhibition of agricultural machinery and cars, as well as a demonstration of vintage tractors.
• Exposure. The festival committee is preparing the exhibitionand they need help: they are looking for all vehicles, whether running or not, upon registration, to display them in the field near the marquees for the country meal.
