SENEGAL-COMMUNITIES-SPORTS-INFRASTRUCTURES / Plea for the completion of the work on the Pambal stadium – Senegalese press agency

Pambal, Oct 6 (APS) – The mayor of Pambal, Lazar Lamane Thiaw Tall, requested on Saturday support from the State to complete the work on the stadium being built in this commune in the department of Tivaouane (west).

”We started with the protective grid and we believe we have a duty to continue with the stands. We are really asking for the support of the State to complete the project,” pleaded the mayor of Pambal.

Mr. Thiaw was speaking on the sidelines of the final of the Mayor’s Cup, won by ASC Deggo, after the penalty shootout ((5-4), against ASC Avenir de Ndiakhaté.

The councilor of the commune of Pambal is also delighted to have focused on raising awareness among young people about fair play.

“Beyond the speeches, we put our words into action, you saw the fair play banners, there were at least three today, we tried to raise awareness among the teams who have already played and lost as well as the finalists,” he said.

According to him, only fair play can allow elderly people to come to the stadium and want to follow their son or grandson playing football.
