The investment competition fund, created in 2023, allows municipalities to strengthen their regional development dynamic. The second, dedicated to housing, is divided into two components: the rural fund, for the 31 municipalities of less than 3,500 inhabitants who request it and who are not affected by the urban solidarity and renewal law (SRU) and the social housing fund, which concerns the five large municipalities of the agglomeration: Rambouillet, Les Essarts-le-Roi, Ablis, Saint-Arnoult-en Yvelines and Perray-en-Yvelines.

€2.8 million in aid to municipalities

An envelope of €360,000 euros is allocated, in 2024, to the rural housing fund. That of the investment support fund amounts, for this year, to €1.244 million, combined with the amount not consumed in 2023. A total of aid to municipalities of €2.8 million, calculated Thomas Gourlan, president of Rambouillet Territoires, during the presentation of the budgetary orientation report in council, on March 6.

“I am delighted to be able to present these deliberations to you this evening (Monday evening, Editor’s note)since they relate to the new intercommunal solidarity that we have put in place and which is becoming a little more concrete,” rejoiced, in the preamble, Thomas Gourlan.

Ten beneficiary municipalities

As for the rural housing fund, municipalities which have submitted a request to the urban community can claim an envelope of between €2,000 and €20,000, depending on the project presented. “The goal is to be able to help municipalities improve, renovate, rehabilitate the habitats they own as municipal property,” specifies the president.

For the rural housing fund, the allocation of €68,000 in subsidies for six municipalities was voted. Regarding the investment competition fund, community councilors voted to grant €62,000, distributed between the four municipalities which requested it.
