On April 30, the University of Guyana was the victim of a cyberattack. The university management confirmed this information in the interests of transparency during a press conference organized this Monday, May 6, 2024. In fact, strange flows were recorded by the digital department, the professors indicated difficulties to connect to the servers. It was only the next day that the cyberattack was proven with the establishment of a crisis unit.
