Five tagged works and one stolen embroidery. This is the outcome of the action claimed by the performance artist Deborah de Robertis on her social networks and carried out by three women, this Monday, May 6, at the Center Pompidou-Metz. Among the works tagged with the slogan “Me Too”, the glass painting by Gustave Courbet, The origin of the world. As for the stolen embroidery, it is a small format by Annette Messager, I think so I suck (34 x 31 cm).
Two of the women involved in this action were quickly arrested by the police and placed in police custody. This Tuesday, May 7, the Metz public prosecutor’s office announced the opening of a judicial investigation, indicates the prosecutor, Yves Badorc. The two women, aged 38 and 29, are being heard this afternoon by the investigating judge handling the case. A third is still being sought.

What penalties are incurred?
The latter are accused in particular of the offenses of deterioration of public property and theft of public property during a meeting.
