For five days, from Wednesday May 8 to Sunday May 12, the national titles between the young gems of French cycling will be contested in Altkirch, around twenty kilometers from Mulhouse (Haut-Rhin).

With all the youth categories represented – cadets (U17), juniors (U19) and hopefuls (U23) – there are more than 1,000 cyclists who will battle on tiring courses, including around ten Loir-et-Chériens, who will evolve under the colors of the regional committee.

The good cards Floraine Bernard and Karl Sagnier

The first to enter the track will be those who do a double race in line and time trial because this Wednesday, May 8 will be a timed effort day.

We will then find the cadet Molly Riquin (VC Controis), as well as the hopefuls Justine Chevrieux (VC Controis), Clémence Launay (UC Montoire) and the pro Floraine Bernard (UC Montoire, Winspace). The latter, who abandoned during the 3e stage of the Vuelta, his first Grand Tour, could do well. Just like the junior Karl Sagnier (VC Controis), who worked on the exercise with Groupama-FDJ in Mayenne a few days ago.

The online races will then begin on Thursday. Will be at the start among the U17s Aurèle Besnard (AAJ Blois) and Jean Groussin (Team Vallée du Cher 41) and again Molly Riquin.

An eye on Clémence Chéreau

On Saturday, the three female hopefuls entered in the time trial will be at the start of the road race. We will carefully follow in this race Clémence Chéreau, originally from Trôo but licensed in a Breton club, who could shine after her excellent start to the season.

And finally among the juniors on Sunday we will find Karl Sagnier, who will have his card to play in the event of a sprint, as well as Maëva Métivier (AAJ Blois).
