“Honestly, if you ask me if I feel safe in my house right now, the answer is no,” confides in an interview with the Newspaper Sabrina Guadagnano Buono, letting out a yellow laugh.

She is one of the many residents of the Ahuntsic neighborhood in Montreal who were treated to a rather unusual visit during the night from Saturday to Sunday. Two “ghostly-looking” women rang his doorbell around 3 a.m. A notable detail: they were completely barefoot during their masquerade which took place near the Île-de-la-Visitation nature park.

“It was my husband who answered. One of them told him sorry, it’s a mistake. I felt invaded. I found out afterwards that these women were knocking all over my street. What worries me is what they would have done if we hadn’t responded. Would they have returned? Would they have stolen from us?”, asks Mrs. Guadagnano Buono, mother of the two children.

Car almost stolen

Many residents of the Ahuntsic neighborhood claimed on social networks that these people stole items from the land this weekend. According to them, the suspected burglars first scout by ringing the doorbell and then take action if no one answers.

“They tried to steal my car in my yard with two other men, but were unable to open it. I heard them making noise. When I opened my light outside, everyone left,” explains a man who lives near Henri-Bourassa Boulevard East and who prefers to keep his name quiet for fear of reprisals.

One of Sabrina Guadagnano Buono’s neighbors, Jason Hoang, for his part captured the images showing the staging used by these two individuals.

“I was playing video games when they rang at my house around 3 a.m. We see that they are crying in the images after hitting and they have no shoes. When they leave before I go out, both women stop crying and become normal again. It’s really weird,” the 24-year-old Quebecer said on the phone.

The police force was not able to confirm on Tuesday whether an investigation had been opened into this matter. “It is not possible to assume the intentions of these people at the moment,” adds M.me Bergeron.
