He returns home thinking he has touched an animal
The septuagenarian with a clean criminal record claimed not to have known that he had hit and then dragged a man for more than 20 meters. The defendant, who suffers from vision problems, had failed to avoid “the dark mass” and thought it was an animal. He returned home after the collision and was then identified using video surveillance images. The victim’s body was found by workers.
