A 17-year-old teenager was seriously injured and another 15-year-old was more lightly injured during a brawl late Monday afternoon in Argenteuil in Val-d’Oise, the Pontoise prosecutor’s office said.

The brawl broke out on Monday shortly before 7 p.m. on the Argenteuil slab. Around twenty individuals, some armed with iron bars, fled before the arrival of the police, said a police Source.
“On the ground, a young person was rescued by a person and several onlookers were also present”, according to information provided by this Source. The teenager was “wounded with a stab wound, with a deep cut: the intestines were protruding from the wound,” she reports.

The vital prognosis of the young man, aged 17 and transported to Bichat hospital in Paris, is in jeopardy, the Pontoise public prosecutor’s office said on Tuesday. A second young person, aged 15, with slight wrist injuries, was also hospitalized.

The perpetrator(s) of the violence have not been identified and no arrests have yet been made, the prosecution said. An investigation was opened for attempted intentional homicide and entrusted to the Argenteuil police station.
